More than 50 employees Chelyabinsk pipe-rolling and Pervouralsk new pipe plant (included in Group CHTPZ), representatives of mass media of the Urals in the framework of the Technical day visited the exhibition of technologies and thematic round tables on the issues of corrosion protection, industrial filtration, construction, and maintenance of cable lines and equipment, maintenance of buildings and structures. Guests also got acquainted with the objects of White metal CHTPZ-visited the plant for the production of large diameter pipes "Height 239” and a plant for the production shtampovannyh piping details “ETERNO”.
CHTPZ emphasized the reliability and long term partnership between the companies. The technical day will be the next stage of cooperation, its implementation will allow to adapt technological solutions 3M to the real needs of the Group and will enable the production employees to meet the first development GP.
Robert Nichols, CEO of 3M in Russia, said that the company will continue to develop and produce solutions that are relevant to the Russian market and will offer these technologies CTRP: “Innovation starts with consumer. Today we discuss the technical challenges now facing the production of CHTPZ Group to make using, including international expertise from 3M, to help find effective and profitable solutions. The field of our cooperation is very wide – they include anti-corrosion and other coatings for pipes, methods of Metalworking, filtration of air and liquids, fire extinguishing, adhesive and electrical solutions, means of individual protection of workers and others. However, we are aware not only of the existing products, but also consider the establishment of a new attracting global expertise in developing the 3M directions, such as creating intelligent solutions for infrastructure management, “smart” PPE and so on. We look forward to actively use our production base in Russia until the end of 2017, start production of a new internal anti-friction coating at the plant in Elabuga, offering thus a better quality product and providing convenient logistical shoulder at the organization of supply”.
“CHTPZ Group pays close attention to the safety of employees and the quality of pipe products, which is operated in difficult conditions: in extremely low temperatures, in aggressive environments, under pressure. That is why it is so important to the quality of the products of our suppliers - it must meet international standards and strict requirements" - said the technical Director of chelpipe Group Cyril Nikitin.
Technical day helped to identify current production challenges and find solutions that will contribute to the development of production, increase safety and productivity in the metallurgical complex, which in the future will become the basis of new cooperation agreements. So, the exhibition presents the technique of applying bichromate corrosion-resistant coating a new generation. This coating has a higher adhesion to steel and allows the Russian pipe mills to withdraw from the stage of chromate pipes, and means to solve the problem of the negative impact of chromate on human health and the environment.
