They also spoke about the decision of the main problem of the VAZ - its high energy consumption, constituting 55% of the cost of the finished product. Expensive electricity prevents the plant to become competitive with foreign manufacturers, despite the demand for its products abroad.
Also high costs for electricity deprive a successful venture opportunities to develop other areas of production. In this regard, Irina Guseva decided to reduce prices for Volzhsky abrasive plant Volga hydroelectric power station. The initiative of the Deputy was supported by the Deputy Minister of industry and trade Gleb Nikitin. Currently in development off the documents by which the cost per kilowatt for the enterprise will be reduced, and the problem of its energy consumption came to the Federal level.
