OTP Bank has written to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko a letter with a request to assist in solving the conflict with the company «Unisteel". This company OTP Bank in 2008, has provided investment loan - us $ 18 million and 43 million, and Zaporizhia abrasives became one of the guarantors "Unisteel". 2013 mortgage payments have been discontinued by the company, with the consequence that today, its debt to the Bank is more than 200 million.
In total, the company paid the financial institution 97,626 million USD and 5,693 million dollars - at the same time a small part of the funds of this amount was forcibly charged by OTP Bank accounts "Unisteel". The letter also States that Zaporizhia abrasives together with the company «Unisteel" and other guarantor uses political influence to put pressure on the state enforcement officers, judges and other official bodies. OTP Bank is asking the President to help return 263,487 million, constituting a total claim of the Bank against the borrower and guarantors of the borrower.
