Zaporizhzhya abrasive plant did not attend the meeting of the deputies of the city Council devoted to ecological problems of Zaporozhye. The main purpose of the event was the signing of a Memorandum between local iron and steel enterprises and urban authorities. Under the terms of Zaporozhian factories are required not to interfere with the environmental Inspectorate in the inspection of the production sites, which recorded poor environmental performance.
The first attempt of signing the Memorandum was made in 2012, then the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has selected the right norms for harmful emissions from Zaporizhia community and referred it to the Ministry of environment. Representatives of the community have developed a detailed Memorandum and proposed Zaporizhzhya abrasive plant, iron and steel and other enterprises to cooperate, but they ignored public initiative. Three years later the situation remains unchanged - the representatives of the industries that pollute the atmosphere, continue to treat the problem in a slipshod manner, stating that their counts are normal and the air contaminate anyone, but not them.
